Children Cannot Wait

105 Leaders in Commonwealth Take Action

After you sign on, we will add your name to the growing list of supporters of the letter that will go to the candidates, and you will be invited to a potential Zoom meeting with them!

The requests in the letter relate to the recommendations from this Fall's Building Early Links for Learning (BELL) Summit - click on the buttons below to learn more.
We launched the Children Cannot Wait campaign last month and 105 leaders from throughout Pennsylvania immediately signed onto the letter, urging the candidates for Pennsylvania’s next Governor and U.S. Senator to support young children who experience homelessness.

We have sent the letter to the major candidates and are following up for a response.

We offered the campaigns a 30-mn Zoom meeting with leaders from around the state. Do you think anyone would jump at it? Of course not. They need money and they need party leadership. That's political reality; they don't need do-gooding issues. We are now transitioning our message to assert that 10,000+ #nonprofit employees vote and have communication networks; will see if that works. Thus far, only the campaigns for @JoshShapiroPA, @ConorLambPA, and @ValArkooshPA have responded.

We will increase our social media presence with tactics like our Tuesday on Twitter and Thursday on LinkedIn.

Background: The links below will guide you to the BELL Summit and recommendations that led to the Children Cannot Wait campaign.
