Brandon Weber
Board Member Since 2017

Your job title, company: Vice President, Wells Fargo
Last read book or favorite book: Parable of the Sower, Salt to the Sea
You can find me streaming: Parks and Recreation
Best leadership advice ever received: “Don’t believe everything you think”
What you were most surprised to learn about PEC: I was most surprised to learn about the level of advocacy work that PEC undertakes with local and federal elected officials. Last summer, PEC reviewed a national report on the number of homeless students from 2017-19. PA experienced a 27% increase over that timeframe. It has been great to learn that in addition to directly serving people who experience homelessness, PEC is encouraging the appropriate governmental agencies to develop strategies to support those individuals/families and to turn the trend around.

Why you joined PEC’s Board: While I grew up in a different section of Philadelphia, West Philadelphia has been my home for over 15 years, and it is truly a wonderful place. However, there are too many residents that continue to experience the effects of injustice and inequality. I joined PEC’s Board to support the organization, which benefits the wider community and seeks to remedy these longstanding problems.
