PEC's Digital Inclusion (DI) program helps build self-reliance and expand education and employment opportunities for West Philadelphia residents by introducing them to the power of technology. PEC has distributed more than 300 computers to community residents and provides technical support for all PEC and West Philadelphia residents that participate in the DI program.

Teen Technology Network
The Teen Technology Network (TTN) helps local high school students stay on track for graduation while preparing for job opportunities in the computer technology field. TTN introduces students to basic computer skills and teaches them to refurbish computers, navigate the internet, and design websites for local businesses and organizations.

In the fall of 2009, PEC's Teen Technology Network spent 8 weeks learning the basics of video production and advertising. Their final project was a short promotional spot for the Community Education Center, a landmark cultural center in Philadelphia. Click here to view the video.

Sixth Grade Stars
Studies point to sixth grade as a critical turning point in the lives of children, one that presents a unique opportunity to set them on the path to long-term economic and social well-being. In response to these findings, PECCDC created the Sixth Grade Stars (SGS) Program to provide sixth grade students from schools in the surrounding community with academic tutoring and technology instruction. The program consists of three 10-week sessions with classes three times a week.
