The vitality of a commercial corridor is central to any neighborhood’s long-term health. PECCDC is committed to transforming Lancaster Avenue, between 38th and 44th Streets, into a vibrant, economically competitive retail corridor for West Philadelphia residents. We stimulate economic growth by enhancing safety and cleanliness, making façade and streetscape improvements, and promoting the area.

In the fall of 2009, PEC's Teen Technology Network spent 8 weeks learning the basics of video production and advertising. Their final project was a short promotional spot for the Community Education Center, a landmark cultural center in Philadelphia. Click here to view the video.
