Arts & Greening

PECCDC is passionate about enhancing the beauty of our neighborhood through green spaces and public art. We bring together volunteers and residents to clean up trash and overgrown vegetation in vacant lots and parks. We attract artists and arts organizations to the community to create murals and other public art projects.

PECCDC partnered with Saunders Park Neighbors, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, and the University of Pennsylvania Hospital System/Presbyterian Medical Center to make Saunders Park Greene an attractive community destination, complete with much-needed park benches and picnic tables.

In 2006 the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and the Mural Arts Program partnered with us to dramatically enhance Lancaster Avenue with the addition of four murals and eight mosaic tree pits, made possible through the generous support of Bank of America and the William Penn Foundation.
